The Wren’s Nest Receives Support from Fulton County Arts & Culture

August 1, 2024 — The Wren’s Nest is thrilled to announce that it was recently awarded funding for another year of programming from the Fulton County Board of Commissioners through the Department of Arts & Culture’s Contracts for Services Program (CFS).

CFS provides grant funding in the form of project support to nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, arts & culture organizations, cultural institutions, colleges and universities, as well as units of government that produce or present arts programming open to Fulton County residents. CFS award recipients present programs that reflect the cultural diversity of the County, captures the imagination of adults, families, and youth, invigorate neighborhood growth, support economic development, and provides jobs.

Awards range between $1,000 and $50,000. CFS award recipients are reviewed and recommended for funding using the following evaluation criteria; artistic merit, service to the community and field, organizational effectiveness, and accessibility. Contractors are selected after a thorough evaluation by an advisory panel of professionals representing all artistic categories. The recipients that were awarded funding are projected to serve more than five million people in Fulton County. The funding provided to chosen organizations works in concert with financial support from corporate/foundation sponsorship of arts programs and helps ensure a strong arts ecosystem in Fulton County.

As a recipient of project support, The Wren’s Nest will leverage this vital grant funding to support our cultural programming, including our educational house tours, storytelling performances, Scribes youth writing workshops, and much more.
