Fall Walking Tour Combines West End & the Nest
This fall, join us for a walking tour of our historic neighborhood! We're partnering with Insight Cultural Tourism to offer guided tours of the West End on the third Saturday of September, October, and November from 9:30-11am. Tickets are $30 and include entry to The Wren's Nest.
Learn about significant people, places, and events in the West End, from the history of indigenous people before European settlement to the present day. We'll pass by The Shrine of the Black Madonna, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Hammonds House Museum and more. After exploring the neighborhood, you can take a deep dive into the life and home of Joel Chandler Harris, one of the West End's most famous residents during his lifetime.
Tour dates are Saturday: Sept. 21, Oct. 19 & Nov. 16
