Due to health and safety concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19), The Wren's Nest has postponed the Brer Rabbit Blues & BBQ fundraiser. The event will be rescheduled for this fall.
Brer Rabbit Blues & BBQ
Join The Wren's Nest at our annual spring fundraiser: Brer Rabbit Blues & BBQ! On Sunday, March 29th from 1 PM - 5 PM, enjoy an afternoon of music, food, and entertainment in our beautiful back yard!
The afternoon will include...
Food
Enjoy delicious food (both barbecue and vegetarian options) from DAS BBQ and Local Green Atlanta!
Beverages
Alcoholic (including beer and wine) and non-alcoholic beverages (including soft drinks, lemonade, and water) will be available.
Boiled Peanut Buffet
Have your fill of a classic Southern snack at a boiled peanut buffet courtesy of The Nut Shack!
Musical Performances
Hear musical performances from Jazz Matters musicians and the Tom Hill Band!
Dance Performance
"Hip Hop into Spring" with a performance from the Silver Classix Crew!
Storytelling
Delight in a performance from one of The Wren's Nest's rambler storytellers, Akbar Imhotep, of the classic Brer Rabbit stories.
Tickets include: admission to the event, 1 barbecue meal (or vegetarian option), and 1 drink ticket (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
Additional food and drinks will be available for purchase on-site.
All proceeds go to the preservation of The Wren’s Nest and support of its education and writing programs.
