A hidden jewel, The Wren’s Nest has been preserved by generations of dedicated Atlanta residents. Today our historic home and gardens are an ideal location for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

The Wren’s Nest is located on 2.5 acres of greenspace in downtown Atlanta. Traditional Georgia foliage peppers the landscape, while a natural grass amphitheater accommodates up to 800 guests.

Filled with southern charm, the Veranda at The Wren’s Nest is a quaint location for a wedding ceremony or cocktail reception. The wrap-around porch and lawn are an intimate space for up to 100 friends and family.

FAQ

What do your rental rates include?
The rental rate includes your chosen reception venue for up to 7 hours, during which time all decorations and clean-up must be done. Ceremony rentals include 2 extra hours to accommodate the rehearsal and ceremony.
Do you provide tables, chairs, linens, etc?
While The Wren’s Nest cannot provide equipment rentals, we are happy to take that stress away. With a minimum of one month’s notice we can arrange your rental and set-up of tables, chairs, and other equipment for you. However, we are also able to provide couples with a list of vendors at anytime.
Are there any additional charges or fees?
We require a damage deposit for all events, which is refundable assuming no damages are incurred on the property. Equipment rental is an optional fee.
Do your rental rates fluctuate?
Yes. Rental rates vary weekdays: Monday-Thursday and weekends: Friday / Sunday, and Saturday.
Do you have a wedding coordinator to help plan our event?
No. The Wren’s Nest staff will be on-site the day of your wedding. They are available provide access to the venue, ensure proper functioning of the building and grounds, and to assist vendors (caterers, bartenders, bands, etc.). The Wren’s Nest staff is not your wedding coordinator, but they are happy to help when they can.
Do you have your own caterer or a preferred caterer list?
No.We can recommend caterers, bartenders, and service staff. While we do not have a preferred list, we recommend that your caterer visit the venue prior to your wedding day. Our historic house does not have a traditional catering kitchen, and caterers may need to provide their own equipment to accommodate your wedding.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes. A wedding isn’t complete without champagne. We require that alcohol (beer, wine, liquor) be served by a licensed and insured bartender / caterer. Alcohol is prohibited on site without a licensed and insured bartender / caterer. We will require your bartender / caterers permit and a valid liquor liability policy before the wedding – but don’t worry, we can help with that.
Can we decorate the site ourselves?
Yes. Each wedding day is unique, and your decorations should be too. We ask that you do not nail, staple, tape, or in any other way permanently affix decorations. Any permanent change to our historic landscape and structures will result in the loss of your deposit.

Please remember that The Wren's Nest holds National Historic Landmark status. This means our historic home possesses exceptional value / quality in illustrating and interpreting our unique American heritage. This status is reserved for only 2,500 historic sites in the United States. And we are one!
Can I bring in a DJ or a band? Do you have any music and video equipment?
Yes. You can bring a DJ or band. Our property fully equipped to host a variety of musicians and videographers. No. We do not have music or video equipment. However, we can help you rent equipment (see “Do you provide tables, chairs, linens, etc.?”) Due to the City of Atlanta Noise Ordinance music must be ended by 10pm.
Do you have on-site parking?
Yes. We have some parking on-site. It is limited to the bridal / groom parties and family. Additional parking is adjacent to the property, and included in your venue fee. We also recommend ride-share apps, and public transportation (we are only a 10-minute walk to the West End Marta Station).
What happens if the weather is bad?
In case of rain or cold weather we can help you find a vendor to supply a tent that will accommodate your wedding guests, band, and caterer / bartender. Vendors also supply outdoor heaters. (see “Do you provide tables, chairs, linens, etc.?”) You may also want to consider wedding insurance. In the case of a natural disaster or other catastrophe that results in a state of emergency you will be refunded 100%.
What are the terms of booking and payment?
To reserve your dates, we require a signed license agreement and deposit. The deposit consists of 25% of your venue fee (non-refundable) and a $500 damage deposit. Fees are due at signing. Remaining balances are due 30 days prior to your event.
